In Selva Digital you have the option to configure email accounts in different email managers. Outlook 2013 allows you to configure the email account automatically or manually.
Below we show how to perform these two types of configurations.
In this case, we use as an example the account "demo@example.com", this address must be modified by the name of the email account to be configured.
Automatic configuration
This is the fastest and easiest option to configure Selva Digital's email account as IMAP in Outlook 2013.
1.-Pre-configuration of the account
Inside Outlook select the option Add account.
2.-Main data of the account
Choose the option "Email account" and enter "Your name", "Email address", "Password" and "Repeat password" in the fields indicated, and click on Next so that Outlook automatically creates the account.
3.-Certificate confirmation.
During activation one or more messages will be displayed stating "The name of the security certificate is invalid or does not match the site name", click Yes on all of them to continue the configuration.
Outlook cannot connect the accounts via SSL, so it will display the following warning. Accept to make the connection without encryption.
Once the configuration is finished it indicates that the account is already created. To finish the process click on the Finish button and you will be able to use the email account.
Manual configuration
Next we explain how you can configure an email account already created in Selva Digital in Outlook 2013, indicating the server name, the connection ports and the user data of the account.
1.-Pre-configuration of the account
Within Outlook select the option Add account.
Choose the option Manual configuration or additional server types.
Establish the type of service you want, which in your case will be the option "POP or IMAP".
2.-Main account data
On the next page you must enter the parameters relating to the email account. At the end select "More settings...".
3.-Advanced mail account options
Check the Outgoing server tab, select the options "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and "Use the same settings as my incoming mail server".
Finally, click on the Advanced tab and enter port 143 for IMAP, and the connection type should be "None". For SMTP, port 578 and the connection type "None".
Important: If you have the domain registered with Selva Digital and assigned the Selva Digital DNS and you want your outgoing mail (SMTP) to be encrypted (SSL), you must modify the SMTP port to 465 and in the option "Use the following type of encrypted connection" you must check "SSL/TLS.
When you click OK, you can see that the "IMAP and POP3 account settings" window is displayed again. Select Next, an information screen opens and a connectivity test is performed with the configured account.
Once the test is successful, you have your Selva Digital email account configured in Outlook 2013.
